The BedWorks of Maine has been designing and manufacturing futon frames since 1984, we were one of the first in the industry. The Bedworks’ futon frames are made of Solid Ash with maple slats to ensure durability. All of our futon frames are built to last; they use metal on metal connectors for easy assembly as well as strength and longevity. For years customers have told us that many futon frames on the market sit too deep in the seat for their comfort. We listened, and we designed our futon frames with the unique ability to have two seating positions. The first position sits upright, allowing your feet to rest on the floor and your back to be fully supported; this is traditional sofa seating. The second position reclines slightly for a more casual feel. It’s your choice; every frame can be positioned either way.
